BIRATNAGAR: APRIL. 24 – According to the women’s association affiliated with the Nepali Congress, one woman should be nominated as chief or deputy chief at the local level. They said this while besieging the State 1 party office.

They have been gathering since this morning to present the state president, Uddhav Thapa, with women’s demands. Under the leadership of the women’s association, the State 1 party office has been cordoned off, claiming that women have been neglected in the name of the alliance.

Women who met President Thapa have even threatened to resign en masse. Addressing the women’s association, state president Thapa stated that a situation of joint resignation would not be tolerated. He also urged to be confident in the representation of women in State 1.

The ruling coalition’s five parties have been unable to represent women in municipal distribution. It is predicted that when men are recommended by both parties, the deputy chief will be given to the opposing party when the major party receives it.
