Chand & Rana been nominated for mayor &deputy mayor of Dhangadi, respectively

DHANGADHI: APRIL. 24 – The CPN (UML) has nominated Ran Bahadur Chand to be the mayor of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitian. A meeting of the UML secretariat has decided to make Chand mayor.

Similarly, Nandakala Rana was nominated by the meeting for the post of deputy mayor. Chand, the mayoral candidate, has been involved in CPN (UML) politics for thirty years.

Chand had previously lost by four votes to Ratan Thapa in the district convention held in Poush (December/January). He previously served as the party’s district vice chairperson.
