Local level election: Candidate registration today & tomorrow
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 24 – Candidates are now being registered for the local level election, which will be held on May 13. The Election Commission has given candidates two days to register this time.
Nominations for party and independent candidates will be accepted today and tomorrow. According to the commission, eligible candidates can register their nomination papers from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. by following the prescribed procedure. The commission has requested that the nomination papers be registered in the office of the relevant election officer within two days.
The commission has a schedule to publish the list of registered candidates on April 25, lodge a complaint against the candidate on April 26, check the nomination papers on April 27 and 28 and decide on the complaint after investigation.
There is a program to publish the list of nominated candidates on April 28, withdraw the name of the candidate on April 29 and publish the final list of candidates and give the election symbol to the candidate on April 30.
