14 ward chairpersons of Rolpa resigned
ROLPA: APRIL. 23 – Fourteen locally elected ward chairpersons from Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Center) have resigned. The chairpersons of 14 out of 10 local levels of the district have resigned.
Ward Chairperson of Sunchhahari Rural Municipality-4 Khadka Bahadur Ghartimagar and Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 6 Amarjit Pun have resigned. Rolpa Municipality-5 Ward Chairperson Top Bahadur Nepali, Ward No. 6 Ward Chairperson Tul Bahadur Gharti Magar and Ward No. 10 Ward Chairperson Man Bahadur Khatri and other members have resigned.
Similarly, Deuram Gharti Magar, Ward Chairperson of Triveni Rural Municipality1, Kabiraj Budha Magar, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 5 Krishna Bahadur KC, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 6 Lekhmani Dangi and Ward Chairperson of Thawang Rural Municipality -5 Govardhan Gharti Magar have resigned.
Similarly, Min Bahadur Thapa Magar, Ward Chairperson of Runtigadhi Rural Municipality-1, Ganj Bahadur Chhetri, Ward Chairperson of Sunil Smriti Rural Municipality-4 and Ram Bahadur Oli, Ward Chairperson of Gangadev Rural Municipality-4 have resigned.
Thirty-eight people’s representatives, including ward chairpersons and members of various local levels of Rolpa district, have resigned to contest the local level election on May 13.
