Tamang unanimously elected as ward chairperson candidate of Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality-9

SOLUKHUMBU: APRIL. 22 – The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), Thulung Dudhkoshi Village Municipality 9 Coordinating Committee has nominated Sankumar Tamang for the upcoming local elections. A meeting of the committee held on Thursday unanimously selected Tamang as the ward chairman candidate, said Maoist leader Tamuna Rai.

The committee has stated that Tamang, who has been doing social service, has a good public opinion here. Therefore, the leaders have claimed that his victory is assured.

Tamang who recently left Nepali Congress and entered Maoists has expressed his commitment to work according to the people’s sentiments under the leadership of the ward.

There are 9 wards in Thulung Dudhkaeshi. The Maoist center has already finalized the candidates in most of the wards. Leaders have said that the candidates for the remaining wards and municipalities will be decided soon.
