Eighth branchless banking operation by Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 22 – Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited has launched a branchless banking service through a mobile app in new locations with the objective of providing all-accessible and state-of-the-art banking services in different parts of the country.
In the process of expanding the service, the bank has brought a branchless banking service in Sotipasal, Mid-Nepal Municipality-2, Lamjung District from Thursday, 21 April 2022.
Poudel Electric Shop (Prof. Laxman Poudel) has been appointed as the business representative for branchless banking operation, the bank said. Director of Kamana Seva Vikas Bank Chaturakhar Adhikari, Chairperson of Ward 1 Chandra Mani Poudel and Ward Chairperson of Ward 2 Padam Bahadur Thapa jointly launched the branchless banking service.
The program was attended by Rishi Ram Puri, chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bishnu Hari Bastola, principal of Mangala Secondary School and other employees of the bank, business representatives and locals.
Facilities like account opening, deposit collection, payment, various bill payments etc. will be provided through branchless banking. The bank has stated that this service will develop significant trust in the bank and banking concept in rural and non-banking areas.
