28 people’s representatives of Birtamode municipality resigned
BIRATNAGAR: APRIL. 22 – Twenty-eight Birtamode Municipality people’s representatives have resigned.
In preparation for the upcoming local elections, twenty-eight people’s representatives from Birtamode Municipality, including the deputy mayor, resigned today.
Deputy Mayor Pabitra Mahatara Prasain and other people’s representatives have submitted their resignations to Mayor Dhurva Kumar Siwakoti, according to the Mayor’s Secretariat. Today, their resignation was accepted.
Ward No. 1 Ward Chairperson Agni Prasad Pandey, members Prem Kumar Kharel, Yamuna Acharya, Kamala Mahara, Ward No. 2 Ward Chairperson Nagendra Prasad Sangraula, Member Kishor Poudel, Ward No. 3 Ward Chairperson Bhojraj Sitaula, Member Purna Prasad Rajbanshi, Ward No. 4 Ward Chairperson Kul Prasad Sangraula, Members Rahul Sharma, Nirmala Sonar, Kabita Dangi, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 5 Rajendra Prasad Lingden, Ward Chairperson of Ward no. 6 Surya Prasad Kandangwa, members Pabitra Devi Koirala, Sobha BK, Ward Chairperson of Ward no. 8 Ajay Karki, members Laxmi Nepali, Indira Pandey, Gangalal Rajbanshi, Ward members of Ward No. 9 Hari Chaulagai, Sangeeta Shiva, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 10 Duryodhan Gurung, members Arjun Sitaula, Bhakt Singh Rajbanshi, Geeta Ghimire and Deepika Shiva have resigned.
There is a provision that the incumbent people’s representatives have to resign before registering their nominations for the upcoming election on May 13.
