UML central office shifted to Chyasal from today
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 22 – On the occasion of the Communist Party of Nepal’s (CPN-UML) 73rd founding anniversary, the CPN (UML) honoured the Communist Warrior Award to a senior communist who contributed to the underground movement during the Panchayat period.
Amar Karki, Bhim Bahadur Khatiwada, Kumari Mahara of Dhanusha, Chatur Byanjankar of Kathmandu, Bishnu Dangol of Kathmandu, Basanta Gauchan of Baglung, Nanimaiya Nakarmi of Kathmandu, singer Ram Krishna Duwal, Hari Sharma, and Teknath Baral of Kaski were among those in attendance. Kanchanpur’s Laxmi Joshi and others were present. Chairperson KP Sharma Oli honoured them in the presence of other top CPN-UML leaders.
Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Deputy General Secretary of the CPN-UML, stated that those who have contributed to democracy by living a life of torture and imprisonment have been honoured. Those who have joined UML from various parties have been welcomed into the program as well.
Today, UML made public its commitment letter for local level elections in the majority of the country’s municipalities. UML’s Thapathali head office have been relocated to the Tulsilal Memorial Building in Lalitpur as of today.
