Mayors of Birgunj & Bharatpur resigned

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 22 – Birgunj and Bharatpur mayors have resigned in order to run in the upcoming local elections.

Bijay Sarawagi, the mayor of Birgunj, resigned on Thursday. Similarly, Renu Dahal, the mayor of Bharatpur, resigned on Friday.

On Friday, Sarawagi’s resignation was accepted. Sarawagi is re-emerging as the mayor of Birgunj from the CPN-UML this time.

Similarly, Renu Dahal is contesting for the post of Mayor of Chitwan Sub-Metropolitian from the alliance.
