Century Bank opens 3 new branches on a single day
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 22 – Century Commercial Bank has opened three new branches since April 21. Rajesh Kumar Shrestha, the bank’s chairperson, inaugurated the branches in separate ceremonies.
On the same day, the bank began operations at the Mahendranagar branch of Mahendranagar Bazar of Ward No. 4 of Bhimdatta Municipality of Kanchanpur District, the Lamki branch of Lamki Municipality-1 of Kailali District, and the Gulariya branch of Gulariya Municipality-7 of Bardiya District.
The branch inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent personalities from various organizations and bodies, entrepreneurs, Manoj Neupane, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Anil Regmi, and locals.
With the addition of these three branches, the total number of branches of the bank has reached 133. The bank has been providing financial services through 10 extension counters, 24 branchless banking and 113 ATMs.
The bank has managed to earn a net profit of Rs. 1.156 billion by raising Rs. 92.96 billion in deposits and Rs. 89.65 billion. The profit is 183.59 percent higher than the same period last year. The bank has managed to cut its net profit by Rs 1 billion for the first time.
