KATHMANDU: APRIL. 22 – The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) is being held in person for the first time in two years as of today.

For two years in a row, the National Examination Board (NEB) has issued grade sheets based on internal school assessments due to a lack of physical SEE examinations due to COVID-19.

According to the National Examination Board, the exam will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. This year’s SEE attracts 5,14,977 candidates from across the country. In SEE, male students outnumber female students. There are 257,927 male students and 257,053 female students in total.

According to Controller of Examinations Rayamajhi, the country has 2,007 examination centers. SEE is estimated to be completed on May 3.

This year’s evaluation criteria have also changed. For assessment in the student’s grading, a minimum of 35 marks will be required. Previously, those who received 30 marks received a D+ and could study in most subjects in the upper class.

However, grading of less than 35 marks will be prohibited beginning this year. According to the new law, 35 marks equals a D grade.
