Immediately after the lockout on Wednesday, Congress had a discussion with the Pokhara ward president and other leaders on Wednesday evening. Municipal Secretary Ganesh Bahadur Thapa said that an agreement was reached to open the lock after the discussion.

Surendra Man Bijukchhe, president of the Congress Pokhara Metropolitan Committee, and Kishor Dutta Baral, president of the Kaski Congress, opened the lock on Thursday.
