CAN Info-Tech Fair begins at Bhrikuti Mandap

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 21 – The 27th edition of CAN Info-Tech, an information technology fair, began on Wednesday in Kathmandu.

Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, inaugurated the Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) fair at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu. Minister Karki spoke on the occasion, expressing the government’s commitment to developing a technology-friendly policy for the private sector. He stated that the government is automating management work and that all government work will be digitized in the near future.

According to the organizers, CAN Info-Tech is held annually with the goal of exhibiting new technologies developed in the field of information and communication technology, as well as meaningful interaction for formulating necessary policies, strategies, and legal frameworks for the sector’s development. CAN Info-Tech will be available for the next six days.

CAN Info-Tech include branding, ICT accessories, game parlours, product launches, start-ups, robotics, emerging technologies, e-waste management, e-governance, women entrepreneurs in information technology, Wi-Fi and internet and learning centres.
