Demonstration at Maitighar Mandala [Photos]

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 20 – Various organizations, including Resistance, Pushpalal Gyanshala, and Dilekkil Society, staged demonstrations at Maitighar Mandala today, using hashtags such as Adalat Gherau “Surround the court” on social media against the situation of victims of violence against women changing their statements and not getting justice from the court

The campaign started on social media on Monday evening. Demonstrators were stopped by the police at Maitighar Mandala while they were on their way to surround the supreme court after demonstrating in Maitighar Mandala.

Speaking to Makalu Khabar, Manoj Khatiwada, chairperson of the resistance group, said, “Even if the victims reach the court now, they will not be able to get justice.”
