Designated 404 polling booths, 167 polling stations

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 20 – A total of 167 polling stations and 404 polling booths have been set up in 14 municipalities of the Parsa district in preparation for the upcoming local level election.

According to Parsa and District Election Officer Ranjita Jha, the District Election Office has set up 55 polling stations and 143 polling booths in Birgunj Metropolitan City. Similarly, six polling stations and 15 polling booths have been set up in the lowest district’s Pakaha Mainpur Rural Municipality.

Similarly, 11 polling stations and 24 polling booths have been set up in Pokhariya, 11 polling stations and 28 polling booths in Bahudarmai and 12 polling stations and 27 polling booths in Parsagadhi Municipality. Similarly, 9 polling stations and 20 polling booths in Bindabasini, 6 polling station in Pakaha Mainpur and 15 polling booths, 7 polling station and 16 polling booths in Dhaubini, 8polling station and 20 polling booths in Chhipahrmai, 9 polling stations and 18 polling booths in Kalikamai, 11 polling station and 23 polling booths in Jagarnathpur, 11 polling station and 23 polling booths in Jirabhawani, 8 polling station and 17 polling booths in Paterwasugauli, 7 polling station and 21 polling booths in Sakhuwa Prasauni and 7 polling station and 17 polling booths in Thori Rural Municipality.

According to Jha, stakeholders should play an important role in ensuring that the upcoming election free, fair, and fearless. The district has 3.39 million 836 voters, with 1.91 million 537 male voters, 1.48 million 283 female voters, and 16 other voters.
