Five recommendations including journalist Giri for post of chairperson

KANCHANPUR: APRIL. 18 – The CPN-Maoist has recommended the names of five candidates for the post of Beldandi Rural Municipality chairperson of Kanchanpur.

The Maoist Central Village Committee has recommended the names of five persons, including a journalist, to the District Coordinating Committee.

Journalists Krishna Raj Giri, Ishwari Dutta Bhatta, Nanda Kishor Sarki, Kailash Chandra Giri, and Kalpana Giri have been recommended for the position of chairperson. Similarly, the village committee has recommended Nainu Giri and Surendra Koirala for the position of vice-chairperson of the municipality.

Giri, a journalist, had been involved in politics for a long time. He is also a central member of the Press Center. The Congress, the Maoist Center, the Unified Socialists, the Janata Socialists, and the Janamorcha will form an electoral alliance in Beldandi.
