Oli’s proclamation from Solukhumbu: ‘UML shatters alliance’

SOLUKHUMBU: APRIL. 18 – KP Sharma Oli, the chairperson of the main opposition party CPN (UML), has claimed that there is a conspiracy to postpone the May 13 local election. Oli stated this upon his arrival in Salleri, Solukhumbu’s district headquarters, on Monday to address the party’s entry and training program.

“The coalition is still meeting in Baluwatar.” “They are conspiring to change the date of the election,” Oli said. “However, the UML will not allow this to happen.

He urged the Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ not to postpone the election and called for contesting the election from the Surya (sun) sign. “I want to tell the Biplav,” Oli said.  “People know you as an honest leader. Don’t sit with the lawbreakers, come and fight the election from the Surya sign. The party will be yours. The activists will be yours. But, do not postpone the election. ‘

He claimed that the UML had moved to dismantle the five-party coalition. “UML is not weak. UML has moved to dismantle the alliance. ‘UML is not afraid; UML is capable of that,’ Oli explained.

Oli also urged the leaders/cadres of other Solukhumbu parties to join UML.
