KATHMANDU: APRIL. 18 – Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ the chairperson of the ruling coalition party Maoist Center, has stated that local elections will not be postponed.

On Saturday, he said this during a press conference at the party’s headquarters in Parisdanda. “The election will not be postponed,” he said. The election will take place on May 13. ‘Be certain of this.’

Meanwhile, rumours circulated that the local elections would be postponed. “Rumors have spread,” Prachanda said, referring to this. However, this is not the case. None of the ruling parties will postpone the election. “The elections will be held on time.”

Prachanda reminded that the election can be postponed even on the morning of election day. “Similar rumours circulated during previous elections. However, the election has already taken place. The same thing happened during the elections for the Constituent Assembly. ‘As a result, we should avoid becoming confused.’
