KATHMANDU: APRIL. 18 – Gagan Kumar Thapa, General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, has stated that it is not in the character of the Nepali Congress to coordinate in order to win. “It is not unnatural for the Congress to be in the parliamentary system with anyone, but it is unnatural for the Congress to coordinate to win the election,” Thapa said at a program in Kathmandu on Saturday. ‘The character of the Congress is not here.’

Stating that he had talked to the leaders of more than 50 districts for three days, Thapa said, “Some friends of the district are not in favor of electoral coordination.” On the contrary, my friends say that I will lose the election but I will not coordinate. ‘

General Secretary Thapa stated that attempting to impose coordination decisions from the center was problematic.

General Secretary Thapa is close to Dr. Shekhar Koirala. He has stated from the start that an electoral alliance should not be formed.
