Aryal’s recommendation to AIG of Armed Police

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 18 – Raju Aryal, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Armed Police (AIG), has been recommended for promotion to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG) of the Armed Police by the Home Ministry.

According to the decision of the ministry’s promotion recommendation committee on Sunday, he has been recommended for promotion to AIG in accordance with sub-rule 1 (a) of Rule 39 of the Armed Police Regulations 2072.

DIG Aryal is at the top of the list. Narayan Dutta Poudel and Chandra Prakash Gautam, both DIGs, are second and third, respectively.

Earlier, a post of AIG was vacant after the government promoted Pushparam KC to the post of Inspector General of Armed Police on April 13.

The committee has requested the Deputy Inspector General of Armed Police, who is not satisfied with the promotion, to lodge a complaint within seven days as provided in Rule 55 of the same rules.

In case of promotion, the way will be open for Aryal to assume the leadership (Inspector General) of the Armed Police Force after the 1st of May.
