Gupta elected as Congress state treasurer

BIRATNAGAR: APRIL. 18 – Rajesh Gupta has been appointed Treasurer of Nepali Congress State 1.

According to vice-chairperson Ramesh Jung Rayamajhi, a meeting of the state executive committee on Sunday decided to nominate Gupta, who is also a state member, as treasurer.

There is a provision in the constitution to nominate a treasurer from among the elected members of the state committee.

Gupta, a permanent resident of Biratnagar-15, has been active in Nepali Congress politics since 2046 BS.

Gupta is the son of late Raghunath Prasad Gupta, a democracy fighter. Gupta, who is also the chairperson of the Nepal Hockey Association Morang, is also active in various religious and social sectors.
