Mayoral candidate in Beni chosen unanimously by Congress

POKHARA: APRIL. 16 – Nepali Congress has unanimously recommended the mayoral candidate in Beni of Myagdi.

Chiranjeevi Sharma has been unanimously chosen as the mayoral candidate. The office-bearers of the Congress District Working Committee unanimously decided to nominate Sharma.

Congress has still won the mayorship of Beni. Sanju Baruwal, of the RPP and the UML, was elected deputy mayor. The Beni Municipal Committee meeting recommended the names of ten district aspirants.

The post of deputy mayor has yet to be determined. The names of three people have been suggested by the city committee.
