Congress names seven people including Chiribabu as mayor of Lalitpur

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 15 – Nepali Congress has recommended seven names for the mayoral candidate of Lalitpur Metropolitan City. The Congress Lalitpur Metropolitan Working Committee has recommended the names of seven candidates.

Among them are President Shubhanan Dhakwa, General Convention Representatives Bharat Lal Nyachho and Prem Krishna Maharjan, current Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan, current Deputy Mayor Geeta Satyal, former Metropolitan President Rajesh Maharjan and General Convention Representative Anant Prakash Shrestha.

The mayoral candidate in the metropolis will be decided by the Congress Central Working Committee. Congress has formed a local level election central mobilization committee headed by Deputy Chairperson Purna Bahadur Khadka for the local level election.
