Siege of Maoists not stopped: Prachanda
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 14 – Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ Chairperson of the CPN-Maoist Center, has stated that the Maoist siege continues.
Prachanda said at a party polarization program in Lalitpur on Thursday that the reactionaries were besieging the Maoists to destroy them during the People’s War and that the Maoists should unite and resist.
Prachanda claimed that discussions were being held with CPN (Maoist) leaders and that an atmosphere was being created in the party to unite the entire CPN (Maoist) team.
He said that some CPN (Maoist) leaders were still in jail and that he was taking initiative to release them. He said that the scattered Maoists should unite and defeat the reactionaries.
He stated that the groundwork has been laid for the Maoist-led journey towards scientific socialism to be strengthened. Prachanda claimed that the UML contained more than 80% honest communists. He said that the Maoists should release those detained by the leadership.
Chairperson Prachanda stated that both domestic and foreign forces were working hard to reverse the Maoist movement’s effects.
