‘UML’s sincere comrades captive of bad leadership’ (with video)
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 14 – UCPN (Maoist) Central Committee Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that 80 percent of the UML leaders are true communists but they have been held captive by the wrong leadership. Prachanda stated this while speaking at the Maoist Polarization and Unity Program in Kathmandu on Thursday.
“I think about 80 per cent of the UML leaders and friends are honest,” he said. We have been living together for 3 years and those friends have become captive of leadership. The reactionaries are being held captive.
Prachanda stated that the CPN (Maoist) would not have split if the Maoists had not split. With the exception of 8/10 people in the meeting, all the UML leaders came to the conclusion that the current leader is Prachanda and then a big conspiracy started.
‘You’re the one who started calling me leader,’ Prachanda explained. We would have been 60, not 60/40 if we had not split while joining with UML. It would have been simpler to transition to socialism.
