QALAT: APRIL. 14 – Eighteen people were injured when a pick-up truck overturned in Afghanistan’s southern province of Zabul on Wednesday, a local source said on Thursday.

“The injured people were shifted to a provincial hospital following the accident that occurred on the main road in Shar-e-Safa district late on Wednesday,” Abdul Hakim, director of the province’s public health department, told Xinhua.

Three of the wounded were in critical condition, according to the source.

Road accidents are frequent in Asian countries mainly due to poor roads, badly maintained vehicles, and reckless driving.
