KATHMANDU: APRIL. 13 – General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba have met. They met at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday afternoon.

According to sources, the rebels had raised the issue with Prime Minister Deuba about the understanding reached with the then government. The then KP Sharma Oli-led government had agreed on three points. The revolution had demanded its speedy implementation.

They also talked about the upcoming local elections. The Biplav had proposed to go to the polls this time. However, the proposal has not been able to move forward after the majority of leaders rejected it.

A few days ago, party spokesperson Khadka Bahadur Bishwakarma had responded that he would go to the polls after reaching the ‘huge’ election commission.
