Oli urges Biplav – ‘Fight elections from Sun sign’ (with video)
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 12 – KP Sharma Oli, Chairperson of the main opposition CPN (UML), has urged General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ to run in the election under the Surya (Sun) sign.
On Tuesday, he spoke at a party entry and training program hosted by the Mahalaxmi Municipality in Lalitpur. “The party is yours, the workers are yours,” Oli said, “but fight the election from the sun sign with ease.” Come on in, take a look around, and have a good time!
Oli also stated that the leaders recognized Biplav as trustworthy leaders. “Don’t taint that image,” Oli advised. There is talk of colluding with Prachanda to rig the election. What is your motivation for doing this? ‘Come on.’
He also advised the Biplav not to fall prey to the five-party alliance.
Biplav, on the other hand, had proposed running in the local elections this time. However, after being rejected by the majority of the leaders, they were unable to proceed. Previously, party spokesperson Khadka Bahadur Bishwakarma ‘Prakand,’ who had reached out to the Election Commission, had stated that he would vote.
According to reports, ‘Prakand’ requested that the election be postponed.
