National Assembly member Dahal sworn in
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 12 – Narayan Prasad Dahal, who was appointed to the National Assembly, has taken the oath of office and secrecy.
On Tuesday, Dahal was sworn in by National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsina at Singha Durbar.
Similarly, Chairperson Timilsina presented Member Dahal with the Federal Parliament’s logo. After taking the oath, Dahal emphasized the importance of carrying out the promises made to the country and the people in a legal and practical manner.
He also stated that he would work hard to realize the slogan of a prosperous Nepal and to prevent the country’s nationalism from being criticized.
On the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, President Bidya Devi Bhandari appointed Dahal to the National Assembly.
In accordance with Article 86, Clause (2) of the Nepalese Constitution, the government recommended to the President that he be appointed as a member of the National Assembly.
