Maoist Circular: Candidates to be finalized within April 18

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 12 – The CPN (Maoist Center) has issued a circular requiring the candidates to be finalized by April 18. Local-level party committees must finalize their candidates by April 18, according to a circular issued by party president Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda.’

Similarly, the local level has been asked not to break the alliance without the center’s approval. Local-level committees have been instructed not to break the alliance unless the central mechanism has given its approval. According to one of the leaders, the Maoist center has been asked that it must evacuate.

Similarly, the UCPN (M) has decided to field at least one woman chief from each district, as well as at least one ward chairperson candidate from each municipality, to ensure that women have an executive role in the local government.
