Speaker’s request to government to create an election-friendly environment
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 11 – Speaker Agni Sapkota stated that the government must work hard to create a favorable environment for the election.
Speaker Sapkota said on Monday at an interaction program on accurate information flow in the election process organized by the National Information Commission in Lalitpur that the May 13 local level election was a great celebration of the country.
He stated that there is no reason to be disappointed because the election environment is not conducive and that 33 days would be sufficient to complete the election.
He stated that in order for the election to be successful, one must work sincerely and honestly. He also stated that political parties should be serious about amending the constitution and participating in elections.
Speaker Sapkota emphasized the importance of political parties acting in a transparent and accountable manner.
