‘Irrigation Day’ celebrated for the first time after establishment of state government

BIRATNAGAR: APRIL. 11 – The 69th Irrigation Day was observed with the theme ‘Irrigation Infrastructure, Agricultural Production, and Employment Basis.’

According to Ganesh Karki, Private Secretary to Minister for Water Supply, Irrigation and Energy, Ram Kumar Rai ‘Pasang,’ the Ministry of Water Supply, Irrigation and Energy celebrated Irrigation Day for the first time since the state government was established.

Minister Rai, Secretary Navin Raj Singh, Secretary for Road Infrastructure and Urban Development Mohan Raj Chapagain, and other Ministry employees planted trees on the occasion. On the occasion, blood was also donated. Ramesh Prasad Poudel, Chief of Irrigation and Energy Division, and 29 other employees donated blood.

Similarly, on the same day as Irrigation Day, various irrigation presentations were given at the Big Hotel meeting hall in Biratnagar. The Minister was honored for respecting the Active Water Consumers Committee and for the important role that the office plays.
