India reports 1,109 new COVID-19 cases

NEW DELHI: APRIL. 8 – India’s COVID-19 tally rose to 43,033,067 on Friday with 1,109 new cases registered during the past 24 hours across the country, showed the federal health ministry’s latest data.

Besides, 43 deaths due to the pandemic reported since Thursday morning took the total death toll to 521,573.

There are currently 11,492 active COVID-19 cases recorded in the South Asian country, a fall of 147 active cases during the past 24 hours.

So far 42,500,002 COVID-19 patients have been cured and discharged from hospitals, out of which 1,213 were discharged during the past 24 hours.
