Three dead in south China market fire

GUANGZHOU: APRIL. 7 – Three people died, and two were injured at a wholesale market fire early Thursday in the city of Foshan, south China’s Guangdong Province, the local fire department said.

The fire broke out at about 1 a.m. Thursday in the Nanhai District. It was brought under control about two hours later.

The injured were immediately sent to a local hospital for treatment, and no lives are presently in danger.

The fire broke out from a wholesale fruit stall. Further investigations into the incident are underway.
