Election Commission Appoints 71 Election Officers
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 7 – The Election Commission has appointed 71 new election officials for conducting and managing the local level elections.
Surya Prasad Aryal, an Assistant Spokesperson of the Election Commission, stated at a regular press conference on Thursday that 71 Election Officers who were previously appointed have been removed for various reasons, and a new Election Officer has been appointed.
He stated that training has been provided to those who train election officials. Similarly, the commission stated that various parties have committed to implementing the code of conduct.
He stated that the UML had submitted the letter expressing ambiguity on some code of conduct issues. Aryal stated that the printing of ballot papers has already begun, and that printing of ballot papers in the area has been prioritized for transportation to remote locations.
He stated that the election materials are still on their way.
