Minister Jhakri’s directive to complete the construction work of the archeological structure on time
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 6 – Ram Kumari Jhakri, the Minister for Urban Development, has been monitoring the construction of archeological structures at Guhyeshwari Field and Teku Dobhan under the authority of the Bagmati Integrated Development Committee.
While monitoring this morning, she stated that additional discussions will take place in the ministry because the project area appears to be chaotic. Minister Jhakri also directed that the project’s work be completed on time.
Minister Jhakri stated that the ministry would take positive steps to manage dependent families in the construction sector. She stated that discussions with other stakeholders should be held in order to find alternative relocation options.
Nawaraj Pyakurel, project chief of the empowered Bagmati Integrated Development Committee, said that the work of the first area has been completed and the construction work of the second and third sites is about 70 percent complete.
It was a sensitive and challenging project, he said, because it involved the construction of archeological and cultural structures. Pyakurel stated that they are committed to completing the work on time because the project has an Ashar (June/July) deadline. She is urging the construction businessmen and consultants to complete the project on time.
