Karki appointed as vice-chairperson of state sports development board

BIRATNAGAR: APRIL. 5 – The State government, which dismissed the office bearers of State 1 on Monday evening, has decided to appoint new office bearers on Tuesday morning. This morning’s meeting of the Council of Ministers of State 1 decided to appoint officials to the State Sports Development Board.

According to Upendra Prasad Ghimire, state government spokesperson and Minister for Transport Management and Communications, the meeting decided to appoint a vice-chairperson and member secretary of the board. The cabinet meeting, according to Ghimire, decided to appoint Jina Jung Karki (Biratnagar, Morang) as vice-chairperson and Hansha Raj Wagle (Jyamire, Okhaldhunga) as member secretary.

An earlier cabinet meeting had decided to remove state sports development board officials from their post on Monday evening, claiming they had not done a satisfactory job. Similarly, Ghimire stated that the meeting decided to designate certain projects as national priority projects.
