Hamro Remit now allows to send up to $100,000
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 5 – Nepal’s most downloaded mobile application “Hamro Patro” with over 1.5 million downloads has started its remit service in the last 7 months. As of the trust and higher user engagement of “Hamro Patro,” its remittance service is gaining popularity and users.
Hamro Remit is thought to be one of the simplest ways to send money from abroad. Hamro Remit was launched on Ashoj 8 2078 B.S (24 September 2021), allowing Nepali citizens living in the United States to easily send money to Nepal. Money can be easily transferred to any Nepali bank account from a US bank account and debit card.
Previously, a maximum of 30,000 US dollars could be sent per person every six months, but this limit has now been raised to $100,000. The transaction limit will be set at $10,000, and this feature will be available to Tier 3 users.
Since its beginning as a digital calendar, Hamro Patro has provided features such as the Forex exchange rate, i.e. foreign currency. The ability to view exchange rates has now been expanded, and sending remittances is now available in a single app.
“For the time being, remittances will be credited to Nepali Bank’s account within two to three days.” “Within a month, we will have an Instant Pay option where money will be credited to Nepalese bank accounts in a matter of minutes,” said Shankar Upreti, Founder/CEO of Hamro Patro.
Users must first download Hamro Patro’s app for Android by clicking here, or by going to the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store. You can also use the Hamro Patro Remit service from the website browser by clicking here. However, only users in the respective countries will have access to this feature in the app.
