Nepal reports 23 new COVID-19 infections

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 3 – According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally as of Sunday afternoon was 1,118,615.

The ministry said 23 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

During this time, 5,847 swab samples were tested using the RT-PCR method, with 23 of them returning positive results. Similarly, 1,062 people were tested for the virus’s antigen, with an additional zero people testing positive.

Another 66 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, while the government claims there have been no COVID-19-related deaths. Similarly, Nepal’s death toll to risen to 11,951.

So far, 965,625 people have recovered out of the total number of cases. There are currently 899active cases across the country.

In the meantime, 30,448 people were vaccinated today.
