Minibus fells into Karnali river, one missing

SURKHET: APRIL. 3 – A minibus fell into the Karnali River beneath Kalikot. The minibus fell into the river around 2.30 p.m. in Pachaljharana Rural Municipality-8 of the Jitegada-Kolti road section of the Karnali Corridor. The number of passengers on the bus was unknown.

According to the District Police Office in Kalikot, police rushed to the scene as soon as they heard about the incident. The driver of the vehicle, Krishna Shahi of Dailekh, survived after swimming, but his co-driver went missing in the river, according to a local named Netra Raj Bam.

According to him, the bus number is yet to be known. According to locals, the minibus on its way to Jarkot of Pachaljharana fell into the river about 30 meters below the road.

The details will be known soon because the police have arrived at the scene.
