KATHMANDU: APRIL. 3 – Pakistan defeated Australia 2-1 in a three-match One-Day International series. The visiting team Australia won the first game and lost two games in a row.

Pakistan defeated Australia by nine wickets in the final One-Day International on Saturday.

Pakistan scored 214 for the loss of one wicket in 37 overs with five balls to spare while chasing a modest target of 211 in Lahore. Captain Babar Azam led Pakistan to victory with 105 runs. Imam-ul-Haq also contributed 89 runs. Australia’s Nathan Ellis took one wicket.

Earlier, losing the toss and batting first, Australia managed to score 210 runs in 41 overs with 5 balls to spare. Alex Carey was the top scorer with 56 runs. Sean Abbott scored 49, Ben McDermott 36 and Cameron Green 34.

Pakistan’s Haris Rauf and Mohammad Wasim took 3-3 wickets apiece to wrap Australia up cheaply. Shaheen Shah Afridi took 2 wickets.
