Patients with these diseases will now receive a monthly medication stipend under the approved procedure.

The procedure states that the patient will receive a monthly allowance of Rs. 5,000 for a one-time treatment in three months in coordination with the local level.

Patients receiving kidney transplants, dialysis, cancer, and spinal cord paralysis are included in the list of allowances, according to the procedure issued by the Ministry of Health and Population.

What is the process of getting an allowance?

This allowance requires a copy of the National Identity Card number or citizenship certificate, and in the case of a minor, a copy of the birth certificate. On the doctor’s recommendation, a copy of the red or blue card indicating a disability should also be included in the same document in the case of spinal paralysis.

You must submit the application, along with all of these documents, to your ward office.
