PM Deuba scheduled to visit Varanasi, returning home today
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 3 – After a three-day official visit to India, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is returning home today. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he is scheduled to return home today at 6.10 p.m.
Deuba is scheduled to visit Varanasi (Banaras) in Uttar Pradesh, India, before returning home. Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, will greet Prime Minister Deuba. Deuba is scheduled to visit the temples of Vishwanath and Pashupatinath in Varanasi.
Deuba met with his counterpart Modi on Saturday. During the meeting, Deuba had requested Modi to resolve the border issue. Through the virtual medium, the Prime Ministers of both countries jointly inaugurated the Janakpur-Jainagar Railway Service and the Solukhumbu Corridor.
Prime Minister Deuba left for New Delhi on the afternoon of April 1st, at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leading a 50-member delegation. For the fifth time, Deuba is making his first official visit as Prime Minister.
