Nepal Bar Association election taking place
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 2 – The election of the 26th Central Working Committee of the Nepal Bar Association is being held on Saturday. For the selection of the new working committee, there will be competition between the Progressive and Professional Law Practitioners Group and the Comprehensive Democratic Progressive Inclusive and Professional Law Practitioners Group.
Senior Advocate Bishnu Mani Adhikari leads the group of progressive and professional legal practitioners. Gopal Krishna Ghimire, on the other hand, has led a large group of democratic, progressive, inclusive, and professional legal practitioners. According to a member, voting for the Bar election will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday from 35 locations throughout the country.
The bar will have a working committee of 25 people, including the chairperson and 11 other officers and members. In this election, there are 9,708 advocate voters. There are 5,700 in the valley and 3,500 outside of it. Four booths have been set up on the premises of the Supreme Court.
