22 new cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 1 – According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally as of Friday afternoon was 1,118,581.

The ministry said 22 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

During this time, 2,516 swab samples were tested using the RT-PCR method, with 16 of them returning positive results. Similarly, 1,319 people were tested for the virus’s antigen, with an additional six people testing positive.

Another 75 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, while the government claims there have been no COVID-19-related deaths. Similarly, Nepal’s death toll to risen to 11,951.

So far, 965,469 people have recovered out of the total number of cases. There are currently 1,022 active cases across the country.

In the meantime, 59,543 people were vaccinated today.
