Nepal qualified for final of Tri-Nation T20 series, Karan’s record bowling

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 31 – Nepal has advanced to the final of the Tri-Nation Twenty20 cricket series, which also included Malaysia and Papua New Guinea PNG, by excelling in both batting and bowling.

Nepal advanced to the tournament final by defeating PNG by 37 runs in Thursday’s match.

PNG was all out for 166 runs with two balls to spare while chasing a 204-run target.

After PNG won the toss and choose to field in Kirtipur, Nepal set a target of 204 runs for PNG.

Nepal’s Karan KC bowled brilliantly. Karan bowled three overs and four balls, taking five wickets for 21 runs. He was also the first Nepali bowler to take 5 wickets in a single T20 match. He has also increased his T20 wicket total to 53. Which are the most wickets of any Nepalese bowler. He also completed a hat trick, taking wickets in the second, third, and fourth balls of the 20th over.

Similarly, Abinash Bohara and Sompal Kamil each took two wickets, while Sandeep Lamichhane only took one.

PNG opener Lega Siaka and captain Assad Vala were both out for one run, but Charles Amini scored 62 runs off 47 balls, including nine fours, and Tony Ura scored 43 runs off 22 balls. However, the other PNG batsmen were unable to withstand the sharp bowling of the Nepali bowler.

Nepal will face Malaysia in another game. The final two teams will compete in the final.
