Three DIGs promoted to AIG

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 31 – The government has promoted three DIGs of the Nepal Police to AIG. The cabinet meeting held in the morning promoted DIGs Rabindra Dhanuk, Basanta Kumar Panta and Dhiraj Pratap Singh to AIG.

The promotion committee had recommended them for promotion in AIG. Despite a complaint being lodged with the Public Service Commission against the recommendation, the way was opened for the government to promote AIG after the commission presented the decision of the promotion committee.

Earlier, the number of AIGs in the Nepal Police was five. With the addition of three, the number of AIGs has reached eight.
