Nepal beats Malaysia by 6 runs

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 30 – Nepal has defeated Malaysia by 6 wickets in the tri-nation T20 series. Nepal, which lost to PNG in its first match, also won the second match.

Nepal reached the target of 115 runs given by Malaysia by losing only 4 wickets with 29 balls remaining. Opener Aasif Sheikh scored 57 runs in Nepal’s victory.

Malaysia batted first after winning the toss in Kirtipur, losing 8 wickets and scoring 114 runs in the allotted 20 overs.

Malaysia’s Zubaidi Zulkifle led the way with 32 runs, while captain Ahmad Faiz scored 24.

Nepal captain Sandeep Lamichhane and Karan KC took two wickets each while Abinash Bohara, Kushal Malla and Dipendra Singh Airee took one wicket each.
