Portugal qualifies for World Cup

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 30 – Portugal have been selected in the FIFA World Cup.

On Tuesday night, Portugal defeated North Macedonia 2-0 in the European World Cup qualifiers playoff final.

Bruno Fernandes scored both goals in Portugal’s victory. Fernandes scored twice in the game, in the 32nd and 65th minutes. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first goal, and Diogo Jota scored the second.

In the other playoff final, Poland secured its place in the World Cup by defeating Sweden 2-0. From Europe, Germany, Denmark, France, Belgium, Croatia, Spain, Serbia, England, Switzerland and the Netherlands have already been selected for the Qatar World Cup.
