Nepal sees 42 new cases past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 29 – According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally as of Tuesday afternoon was 1,118,508.
The ministry said 42 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
During this time, 4,322 swab samples were tested using the RT-PCR method, with 30 of them returning positive results. Similarly, 1,149 people were tested for the virus’s antigen, with an additional 12 people testing positive.
Another 86 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, while the government claims there have been no COVID-19-related deaths. Similarly, Nepal’s death toll to risen to 11,951.
So far, 965,228 people have recovered out of the total number of cases. There are currently 1,198 active cases across the country.
In the meantime, 50,151 people were vaccinated today.
